Yesterday, Sunday 18/8/2024, a meeting was held between the Jordan University of Science and Technology and the Optometrists Association, represented by the Association's President, Nizar Damati, and his deputy, Yasmine Abu Rashid, where joint cooperation between the two parties was discussed. The meeting included Professor Dr. Nihaya Al-Shayyab, Dean of the College of Applied Medicine, Dr. Arej Al-Atoum, Vice Dean of the College of Applied Medicine, Dr. Maram Al-Akhras, Head of the Department of Allied Medical Sciences, and Dr. Subha Al-Shatarat, Vice Dean of the College of Allied Medical Sciences. The discussion included plans to help direct students to accredited training centers to prepare them to enter the labor market and professional performance, hold scientific days within the university, in addition to preparing an agreement that allows the association to help distribute students to medical centers, and provide training lectures in coordination with the university. It was also agreed to enhance students' practical skills in line with the university's orientations in applied training.
